Cajun Fire Walleye Fish Burritos

Ingredients Needed for the Recipe

• Walleye/lake fish
• Canola oil and/or squeeze margarine
• Tobasco sauce
• Red beans and rice mix
• Cajun spice
• Large flour tortillas
• Lemon juice

Cooking instructions:

You first need to dice the fish into small pieces, then sprinkle the Cajun sauce over the wet pieces. Next, fry the fish using really hot oil or a margarine blend. Once the fish is cooked, place it in a covered pot. Line the pot first with paper towels. Cook some red beans and rice mix using the stovetop method, and when the mix is half-cooked add the fish back into the heat, add lemon juice if you prefer and Tabasco sauce and stir. When it’s done, take a spoon and place the mix into buttered tortillas, rolling them into delicious camp burritos.

Variations/Hints:

You can replace the fish with trail sausages, and you also add onions or even mushrooms, if you’re a big fan of those. Grated pepper jack cheese can be also added for more taste.

Comments:

This recipe is a wonderful lunch or dinner idea, and really great when you don’t have enough fish to cook fillets.
