The Ossineke State Forest campground sits on Lake Huron’s Thunder Bay. There is a quaint barrier-free boardwalk out to Lake Huron where you can fish, catch a sunrise or sunset over the water. The lake has many sandy beaches for swimming, sunning and wildlife viewing. There is a 1 mile hike and bike trail amid the white pine and oak forest.

42 rustic sites for tents and small trailers. First-come first serve basis no reservations.

Ossineke State Forest Attractions
Vault toilets and drinking water from a well hand pump. There are no hookups or dump station. Tables and fire grills at each site. Boat launch and boat ramp

Highlights
There is a 1-mile hiking, biking trail on site along with fishing on Lake Huron. The lake is known for Walleye, Salmon, Trout and Bass fishing.
